Really good fall off the bone ribs! The beans, mac n cheese, pulled pork sandwiches and cornbread are excellent as well. Comfort food at its finest and a gem to the Rockford/Belvidere area!

Beautiful day so we sat at a picnic table near playground. Kids were happy to play and adults enjoyed a conversation! Team brought out ribs, pulled pork, and brisket with sides of Mac and cheese and cornbread. Also had hotdogs for the 3 kids. Help came back w/ extra plates and plastic ware when they saw we were sharing. We came home with half of the pulled pork! Love this place! We probably take out more often then eat there bc we don't always plan far enough ahead to get there before it gets busy. (Plenty of space at 4 on Friday before Morial Day. (We have also stood in line, when they were bombarded on a wkend evening). Very casual and indoor and outdoor seating. The help is observant, and picks up plates etc as they were emptied so didn't have to weight them down in the wind. They are not open year round.

Great food and an awesome experience. This is a no thrills BBQ joint. We had pulled pork and a club sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Pork and sandwich had great flavor. Turkey in the sandwich was incredible. Mac and cheese were great. Not your traditional Mac and cheese. You can tell homemade. I forgot to mention had cherry pie too. That was very good too! Ate that before the pics it was so good. Plenty of seating and parking. Seating is outdoors but most of it is covered. Great place we will be back!!

Fantastic food and pole barn decor. All food our group had was great! Ribs were the best!! Yummy Mac n cheese. Nice people!! Lots of space, brand new beepers when your food is ready. Very clean space, tons of parking... Nice drive thru. Can't wait to go back!!

The atmosphere? Well, it is outdoors, but now there is indoor seating! You stand at the cash register to order, then get a table to wait a bit for your food. We have also gotten food for parties. It is fantastic! The brisket and pulled pork is always first rate, and I love the Mac n cheese! The baked beans contain some pork, which is yummy. And the coleslaw is very good as well. Get yourself down to Smokin Coop this summer. It is a fun and delicious place to go.

While we travel the country we have the opportunity to visit many wonderful places & their local restraunts. Smokin Coop BBQ Pit has to be one if the best BBQ places we've been to so far. The food is exceptional, service is great and the atmosphere was fun! We will be definitely be added this to our travel page for the area.

Stopped in for lunch and have to say the brisket sandwich was good but the turkey club was out of this world probably one of the best sandwiches l've had in a long time. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Love the relaxed atmosphere. We have very few outdoor restaurants. This one is a favorite. Family and dog friendly. No alcohol. There is a drive through area for ordering and pick up if you don't want to eat there.
